Dan’s finances and credit scores were low on his list of priorities until recently. “I’d had some problems. I’d had a bit of a messy divorce, which ruined my credit score, and also we’ll call it a misspent youth, so I didn’t take anything that seriously with finances.”
But things were about to change.
“I was a bit poorly, and I had to really start to think about future-proofing, so I looked at ways that I could improve my credit score.”
Why a credit card wasn’t the answer for Dan
Then, Dan found Loqbox. “It’s a much better way of getting the same long-term results but more responsibly,” Dan said. “This cannot happen again.”
Taking control, one step at a time
“It’s that proper budgeting thing that I now do, and it’s great because there’s nothing nicer than getting to the end of the month and having a bit left over, and that’s happening more and more.”
A year on, confidence and security
Dan felt locked out of the system, and it was hard to see a way out. But a year in, the story has flipped on its head. “Loqbox has been a big help in that sense,” he says.
“You see yourself coming out of that horrible patch.”
For Dan, it was about turning to face the issue head-on, learning all he could about his options, and then carving a path that meant sustainable, healthy steps toward a better future.
Loqbox helped him to tackle things step-by-step, so his whole financial life worked together: “You’re building your credit score while also saving some money. For me, it’s such a win-win.”
