1. About the Promotion
The Loqbox Refer a Friend scheme (“the Promotion”) is operated by Loqbox Technology UK Limited (“Loqbox”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales with registered number 07916178, whose registered office is:

By participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy.
2. Who Can Take Part
2.1 Referrers
To be eligible to refer a friend (“Referrer”), you must:
- Be a current Loqbox member (Full or Lite); and
- Have an active Loqbox account at the time the referral reward is issued (as you will need to log in using the email address linked to your Loqbox account to receive your reward).
For the purposes of these Terms, an “active” account means an account that is open and not suspended, blocked, or restricted.
2.2 Referred Friends
2.2.1 Eligibility to Participate
To be eligible to participate in the Promotion as a referred friend (“Friend”), you must:
- Be aged 18 or over and resident in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man;
- Have a UK bank account;
- Not have previously held Loqbox Full membership, including any historic or closed Loqbox Full membership account; and
- Sign up using the Referrer’s unique referral link or code.
Self-referrals are not permitted.
2.2.2 Qualifying Requirements to Receive the Reward
To qualify for the reward under this Promotion, the Friend must:
- Sign up as a Loqbox Full member; and
- Successfully make two monthly payments for Full membership on time, in line with the applicable membership terms.
2.3 Exclusions
The Promotion is not open to employees, contractors, or agents of Loqbox, or to anyone professionally connected with the operation or administration of the Promotion.
3. How the Promotion Works
- The Referrer shares their unique referral link or code with a Friend.
- The Friend signs up to Loqbox using that referral link or code.
- The Friend makes their first membership payment for Loqbox Full membership..
- The Friend then makes their second monthly payment for Loqbox Full membership.
- Once the Friend has made their second successful monthly payment for Loqbox Full membership, both the Referrer and the Friend become eligible for a reward, subject to these Terms & Conditions.
3.1 Downgrades and Plan Changes
- The Referrer may downgrade their membership during the qualification period and will not forfeit their reward, provided their Loqbox account remains active at the time the reward is issued.
- The Friend may downgrade after signing up via the Referrer’s unique referral link or code and may still be eligible for a reward, provided they have made two successful monthly payments for Loqbox Full membership before downgrading.
4. The Reward
- Both the Referrer and the Friend will each receive a £10 gift card.
- Gift cards are fulfilled by Tremendous, a third-party reward provider.
- Rewards will be issued within 30 days of the Friend’s second successful Loqbox full membership payment.
- Use of the gift card is subject to Tremendous’ own terms and conditions, which will apply in addition to these Terms.
4.1 Tremendous redemption terms
Rewards are administered via Tremendous. When a participant redeems their reward, the terms that apply will depend on the payout option selected. In particular:
- The participant will be shown any expiry date, redemption policies, and (if applicable) any fees associated with their selected payout option before redemption and on their Tremendous reward page after redemption.
- Some payout options (for example, third-party gift cards or prepaid cards) may be subject to additional terms set by the relevant merchant or issuer, including expiry dates and conditions of use.
- Participants are responsible for redeeming and using their reward before it expires. Expired rewards cannot be replaced, reissued, or extended.
5. Referral Cap
- A Referrer may refer up to a maximum of 50 Friends under this Promotion.
- A Referrer may receive rewards up to a maximum total value of £500 per Referrer (“Reward Cap”).
- Referrers may continue to refer Friends once they have reached the 50-referral limit; however, no further referral rewards will be issued once either the 50-referral limit or the £500 Reward Cap has been reached.
- The referral limit and Reward Cap apply per Referrer, regardless of the number of Loqbox accounts or referral links used.
6. Eligibility and Abuse Prevention
- Referral rewards will only be issued where:
- Both the Referrer’s and Friend’s accounts remain open and in good standing at the time the reward is due (including, without limitation, that there are no missed or overdue payments, and no active disputes on either account), and
- No fraud, misuse, or breach of these Terms & Conditions is identified.
Loqbox reserves the right to withhold, cancel, or recover rewards where it reasonably believes the Promotion has been abused, including (but not limited to):
- Creating multiple accounts or using false details;
- Posting referral links or codes on public forums or websites intended for sharing discounts or voucher codes;
- Using paid advertising (including search, social media ads, or sponsored posts) to promote referral links or codes;
- Mass distribution of referral links or codes to people the Referrer does not know (including spamming via email, messaging apps, or social media); and
- Any other activity that is inconsistent with the purpose of this Promotion, which is to refer friends and personal contacts to Loqbox.
6.1 Additional Eligibility Checks
Referral rewards may be withheld or delayed where required identity, onboarding, or account verification checks have not been completed to Loqbox’s satisfaction. Rewards will only be issued once all applicable checks have been successfully completed.
7. No Cash Alternative
- Rewards are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash by Loqbox.
- No alternative reward will be offered by Loqbox. Reward fulfilment and payout options are made available via Tremendous, and the options available (including any applicable terms, expiry dates, and fees) will be presented to the participant at the point of redemption.
8. Changes to or Withdrawal of the Promotion
- Loqbox reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw the Promotion at any time.
- Any changes will not affect referrals that have already satisfied the eligibility criteria before the change takes effect.
9. Personal Data
- Personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Notice and applicable data protection legislation.
- Data will be used solely for:
- Administering the Promotion,
- Issuing rewards,
- Preventing fraud and misuse.
10. Publicity
- By participating in the Promotion, Referrers and Friends may be asked to take part in reasonable promotional activity relating to the Promotion.
- Participation in publicity is optional, and no participant will be required to take part as a condition of receiving a reward.
11. Liability
- Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
- Subject to the above, Loqbox will not be liable for:
- Any loss or damage arising from participation in the Promotion, or
- Any delay or failure in issuing rewards caused by circumstances outside Loqbox’s reasonable control or by third-party providers.
12. General
- If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- Loqbox’s decision regarding the Promotion is final.
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
13. Relationship to Other Terms
- Participation in the Scheme and/or Prize Draw does not alter, amend, or replace Loqbox’s standard Terms of Service, Member Agreement, or other applicable product terms. In the event of conflict, the standard terms take precedence.
