About the role

Money is a messy subject. Most people feel shame, stress or confusion when they talk about it (if they talk about it at all). Your job? Turn that into hope, humour and human connection.

We’re looking for a creative force. Someone who wakes up with wild ideas, goes to sleep brainstorming taglines and gets genuinely annoyed when things feel flat. Part strategist, part maker and part brand guardian, you’ll lead Loqbox’s creative strategy and execution, taking our campaigns, messaging and brand identity to the next level.

This isn’t about polishing what already exists – it’s about upping our creative game and building a brand that people actually care about through storytelling. You’ll lead the charge in making our work braver, more distinctive and emotionally resonant. Work that wins hearts, minds and maybe even a few awards.

What you’ll do

  • Start everything with insights. Take what we know about our members, market and performance and transform it into powerful creative that builds our brand and converts.
  • Own our storytelling. You’ll craft the right kind of moments and messages that stick – one’s that that shape how people remember us.
  • Lead the concepting and design for bold ideas across every channel: brand, video, partnerships and performance. (If it’s boring, you’ll bin it.)
  • Shape and own creative testing frameworks to prove what works (and kill what doesn’t).
  • Bring creative leadership to the whole of Loqbox, partnering across marketing, product, partners and beyond to shape coherent, emotionally resonant messaging.
  • Manage our team of designers and work closely with our Content Design Lead, driving quality, clarity and originality every step of the way.
  • Craft tight, inspiring creative briefs and lead the charge from briefing through delivery.
  • Be Loqbox’s brand guardian – except way more fun than that sounds. You’ll champion a creative culture where everyone’s thinking bigger.

About you

  • 2+ years in creative strategy, creative direction or similar – agency or brand-side.
  • You have a deep portfolio of visually engaging and strategically sound campaigns and creative outputs.
  • You’ve led creative/design teams and know how to grow both people and ideas.
  • You think big and move fast. You don’t wait for permission to be bold.
  • You’re a natural born storyteller and understand how emotional hooks drive performance.
  • You mix data and intuition like a potion – testing, iterating and dialing up creative that works.
  • You believe “dry” is a creative crime, and you’ve got the skills to fight it.
  • You’re purpose-driven and passionate about reshaping how people feel about money.
  • You’re based in or around Bristol – we work together in the office 1 day a week.
